In our next fundraiser on January 14th, in addition to Mujaddarah by donation we will be featuring some art works donated by artists and community members for a silent auction that will include an original artwork by local artist, original water colour prints, original tattoo design, two giant clam shell, garlic from Diggers farm and we like to invite poets who have sent us their poems during previous fundraiser to come and read their poetry at the fundraiser. If you have written a poem that relates to Gaza or Palestine in general and you like to share it at the fundraiser, please contact us here or by email in order to make arrangements. There will also be a beautiful artistic display of solidarity with the children of Gaza produced by children in Vancouver at Hastings Elementary School.
Our Gaza fundraisers are creating more than monetary funds for Gaza, they are creating safe space where a community can gather, act and raise their voice against oppression, ethnic cleansing and war crimes. Please share

I guess because this is your city and you have 60,000 followers, we have no option but to obey your orders. To answer your most urgent question, NO sir, we are not anti-simites, but we are anti-oppressors, anti-colonialist, anti-supremacists, anti-racist ideologies whatever shape or form they come in. We have many Jewish friends and supporters, these Jews are democratic, compassionate and their sense of fairness, justice and peace is not exclusive to the Jewish people but they extend it to the human race. Gaza fundraiser update

The situation in Gaza is getting worse by the day. Right now, thousands of people are out of drinking water and food. We are pursuing an effort to fund the distribution of fresh water and meals through a network of journalists from the West Bank and Gaza. Will keep you posted.

On the weekend, we will be serving imported (from Tunisia) Mediterranean “Denees دنيس” and “Sultan Ibrahim سلطان ابراهيم”
